2026 Annual International Training Courses (AITC) entitled Empowering Communities with AI: Tools and Strategies for Sustainable Development

On 3–21 August 2026, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), in collaboration with College of Industrial Technology (CIT), King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB), organized the 2026 Annual International Training Courses (AITC) on “Empowering Communities with AI: Tools and Strategies for Sustainable Development”.
The programme aimed to ground foundational knowledge and understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and promote the application of AI for sustainable development. Participants studied real-world case studies of AI applications across agriculture, education, health care, and public services, along with promoting ethical, governance and inclusive digital transformation that leaves no one behind.
The training brought together 21 participants from 17 countries: Azerbaijan, Bhutan, Chad, Egypt, Fiji, Lao PDR, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Palestine, Paraguay, Peru, Qatar, Timor-Leste, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Through interactive lectures, hands-on workshops, and study visits, participants shared insights and proposed the action plan, which can be adapted within their context.
