Partnership with the United States of America

 

                      Thailand and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) have cooperated together in fostering regional projects which include sharing various technologies on biological preservation, transboundary water conflict, non-polluting country development, and climate change. These issues have been discussed through the forum of ASEAN-US. Moreover, both Thailand and the US support the implementation of the wildlife and plant law enforcement network within ASEAN.

 

 

                      Through USAID, Thailand and the US have cooperated together in providing assistance to Myanmar on the initiative of Malaria prevention and control at Myanmar-Thailand border. This project will further complement technical assistance activities supported by USAID through WHO and Control and Prevention of Malaria (CAP-Malaria) implemented by University Research Corporation.
