On March 24, 2025, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) welcomed H.E. Mrs. Hala Youssef Ahmed Ragab, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Thailand, during her courtesy call to congratulate the Director-General on his appointment.  The meeting was also attended by Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of the Development Promotion and Coordination Division, and relevant officials of TICA and the Embassy, at the Reception Room, TICA.  

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the dynamic ongoing cooperation between Thailand and Egypt, particularly the study visits and meetings on sericulture between Egyptian delegates and Thai agencies, facilitated by the Royal Thai Embassy in Cairo and discussed possibilities in knowledge sharing in various fields such as food security, climate change, and green energy generation.

On this occasion, the Director-General of TICA invited Egyptian representatives to participate in the Thailand Development Forum for Africa, scheduled for May 12–17, 2025. The forum will bring together high-level representatives from development cooperation agencies of African countries to a study visit and engage in dialogues with Thai agencies on ways to enhance development cooperation in various sectors.
