On 29 June 2023, Lt. Sorawud Preededilok, Minister attached to Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TIICA), welcomed Ms. Ai YAMAMOTO, Counselor of International Admissions Office, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU), at TICA. Also present were Ms. Patchara Kosinanont, Director of Human Resources Development Cooperation Division and relevant officials from both sides.

During the meeting, Ms. Ai YAMAMOTO provided an overview of APU and its scholarships given to international students. Both sides also discussed possible cooperations between TICA and APU, especially in supporting TICA’s Friends from Thailand (FFT) Programme in Japan. For example, APU may assist TICA in disseminating future FFT recruitment announcements among APU’s Thai alumni and organise a pre-departure online training course on Japanese language and culture, and tourism-related issues for FFT volunteers who will serve in Japan.
