On 14 September 2026, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on scholarship cooperation between Prince of Songkla University (PSU) and the Colombo Plan, signed by Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, President of Prince of Songkla University, and Mrs. Chulamanee Chartsuwan, Secretary-General of the Colombo Plan, at PSU Hat Yai Campus, Songkhla Province. On this occasion, the Deputy Director-General exchanged experiences and joined both parties in discussions on the management of cooperation under the MOU.

The Deputy Director-General also visited a TICA’s awardee under the Thailand International Postgraduate Programme (TIPP) currently studying at PSU, and met with Asst. Prof. Dr. Supattra Davison, Assistant to the President for ASEAN Affairs and Creative Economy, at PSU’s ASEAN Studies Center. During the meeting, they exchanged ideas on driving the vital role of Songkhla Province, which has been recognized by UNESCO as Songkhla Creative City of Gastronomy.
