From 24–26 February 2026, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), together with Ms. Chidchanok Malayawong, Director of Development Promotion and Coordination Division, and relevant officers, participated in the 19^th Strategic Planning Meeting (SPM) of the Indonesia–Malaysia–Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) and related meetings at the Eastin Grand Hotel Phayathai. The delegation attended in its capacity as TICA is the Thailand’s Focal Point for the Working Group on Human Resource Development (WGHRD).

Deputy Director-General Arunee as Chair of the WGHRD, presided over the brainstorming and breakout sessions within the Working Group which were also attended in person by representatives from the Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Labour of Thailand, as the implementing agency; the Ministry of Human Resources of Malaysia; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia; the Indonesian National Secretariat; and the Centre for IMT-GT Subregional Cooperation. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Manpower of Indonesia joined via an online platform.  The Meeting reviewed the progress of activities under the Implementation Blueprint (IB) 2022–2026 and deliberated on future directions for the next IB 2027–2031.  

On this occasion, as Chair of the WGHRD, Deputy Director-General Arunee also participated in the 19^th IMT-GT SPM Plenary, the Senior Officials’ Consultation on the Strategic Framework of the IMT-GT IB 2027–2031 and the Kick-off Meeting of the Task Force for the Development of the new IMT-GT IB.
