On 20 October 2025, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), presided over the KOICA-TICA Action Plan Workshop at Ibis Styles Bangkok Ratchada Hotel. In his opening remarks, the Director-General stressed the importance of close collaboration between Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and TICA to identify common goals and objectives for activities and projects to ensure the successful implementation of the 5^th Action Plan (2026-2028) between the two Agencies. He further remarked that development cooperation between the Republic of Korea and Thailand will help us towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which in turn will help the international community realize the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

During the Action Plan Workshop, Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General of TICA, and Dr. Youngsuk Jun, KOICA Country Director for Thailand, along with representatives from KOICA Headquarters reviewed the results of the 1^st – 4^th Action Plans together. Furthermore, the two sides agreed on the framework of the areas of cooperation for the 5^th Action Plan such as trilateral cooperation, knowledge and experience sharing, capacity building, and monitoring and evaluation of KOICA-TICA development cooperation projects.
