On 15 February 2023, Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) was invited to attend The Global Meeting of Development Cooperation Providers at the OECD offices in Paris, France. She was asked to address the meeting and share Thailand’s knowledge and experience on the conference topic: "Working together to respond to multiple crises and put the SDGs back on track"

In her speech, DG. Ureerat highlighted Thailand’s good practices with regard to international development cooperation during challenging times. She stressed that, at such times, countries needed to (i) prioritize anew and refocus, (ii) reinforce inclusive partnerships (people, public and private) and (iii) embrace local wisdom; the Sufficiency Economy Philosophy as well as digital technology and innovation.

She also drew attention to the efficacy of international development cooperation when it is underpinned by the 3C formula: coordination - at country and international levels; complementarity – among the various platforms; and coherence – from the national level to project cycle management level.

Thailand was one of 26 non-DAC members who to be invited to attend the Global Meeting of Development Cooperation Providers in Paris.
