On 4 July 2025, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), together with H.E. Mr. Fabio Chinda, Ambassador of Thailand to Morocco, met with Mr. Mohamed Methqal, Director-General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI), to discuss ways in strengthening Thailand – Morocco development cooperation.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the dynamism of Thailand – Morocco development cooperation, which has advanced at both the bilateral and trilateral levels.

At the bilateral level, cooperation includes the provision of Annual International Training Course (AITC) scholarships to Moroccan professionals and the Thailand – Morocco Sustainable Community Development Project, which utilizes solar-powered Parabola Dome Dryer technology, was officially handed over by the Director-General of TICA to Cadi Ayyad University and the Tiwizi Association, the project’s target community, on 3 July 2025.

At the trilateral level, both sides noted the success of joint training courses co-organized by AMCI and TICA. These include a course on Climate Change, held in Morocco in May 2024 for participants from African countries, and an upcoming course on Food Security, to be held in Thailand in 2025 for participants from ASEAN countries. In addition, Thailand hosted the Thailand–Africa Development Forum in May 2025, which Morocco sent representative participated and contributed to discussions aimed at exploring future cooperation with Thailand.

Furthermore, the year 2025 marks a significant milestone, commemorating both the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Morocco and the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Technical Cooperation, which has served as a foundation for collaboration at multiple levels.
