On 14 July 2025 at 09:00 hrs., Mrs. Arunee Hiam, Deputy Director-General, Acting for Director-General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) with Mr. SAKUDO Shunsuke, Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Thailand Office, and Mr. Gardphajon Udomdhammabhakdi, Governor of Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), co-signed a Record of Discussions of the Third Country Training Programme (TCTP) to organize the training course entitled on “MRTA Experience Sharing on Urban Rail Development, Operation and Maintenance” at MRTA Head Office, with relevant officials from the three agencies joining as witnesses at the signing ceremony.

This Record of Discussions marks the first step of MRTA as implementing agency in organizing the Third Country Training Programme (TCTP) under Thailand–Japan Technical Cooperation (JFY 2025). The training will be consecutively conduected over three years started from 2025. The targeted countries comprise of Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand. It aims to share and exchange technical knowledges, experiences, and best practices in construction, operation and maintenance of  Thai mass rapid transit projects under MRTA’s administration, towards sustainable urban railways.
