On July 8, 2025, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) in collaboration with the Faculty of Humanities, Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) welcome and breifing on a opening ceremony for a short-term Thai language training course, “Thai Language for Communication”, for personnel of the development cooperation agencies from neighboring countries and other countries in 2025 at Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA). There were a total of 14 participants from 6 countries: Myanmar, Timor-Leste, Mongolia, Bhutan, Kenya, and Nigeria.

This training was held on-site from July 1 to September 20, 2025. It aims to develop Thai language communication skills for participants to use in both daily life and coordination in development cooperation with the Royal Thai Embassy and the International Cooperation counterpart in partner countries. This training provides learning and training in Thai language skills through using active learning methods. This is to create understanding and learning through Thai culture and society in order to enhance good relations between Thailand and partner countries. It is also a soft power at the people-to-people connectivity level.

On this occasion, Ms. Pin Sridurongkatum, Secretary of the Department, on behalf of Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) in honored of welcoming and opened the training, as well as gave a briefing on the development cooperation mission of TICA to all participants. Lecturers from the Faculty of Humanities, Srinakharinwirot University (SWU), led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Suphak Mahawarakorn, Head of the Program also joined the programme.
