Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA) and Department of International Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs are co-facilitating two training courses on malaria control: (1) The 23^rd Virtual International Training Course on Management of Malaria, held online from August 25–29, 2025 and (2) The 2^nd International Training Course on Essential Laboratory Diagnostic Tools for Malaria Elimination, held on-site in Thailand from September 24–26, 2025, organized by the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, Mahidol University.

The said training course had the 10 participants from BIMSTEC countries, comprising four from Thailand, three from Bhutan, one from Myanmar, one from Bangladesh, and one from Sri Lanka. Such cooperation has enhanced the public health development in eliminating and controlling agianst the cross-borderly communicable malaria and building sustainable health and economic security for the people of BIMSTEC countries in the future.
