During 27 February – 5 March 2023, Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture (DOA), and the Chiang Mai Field Crops Research Center, welcomed Ing. Agr. (Mg.) Guillermo Raul Gerster and Mr. Lisandro German Lenzi, Agriculture Engineer, for an onsite visit in Thailand to exchange information on soybean production and machinery technology development for soybean production in Thailand under the Development Cooperation Programme between Thailand and Argentina in (2020 - 2022) , Agriculture sector, the Potential Enhancement for Sustainable Soybean Production and Utilization and Agriculture Machinery Technology Development for Soybean Production project.

On this occasion, the Argentina experts visited (1) the Department of Agriculture Genebank Thailand, (2) the Soybean Production and Machinery Technology and Seed Production Laboratory, Chiang Mai Field Crops Research Center, and (3) the soybean field of the farmers in Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai provinces to exchange the best practices on soil preparation, how to grow soybeans, how to nourish the soil, and how to harvest for the best quality of soybeans with Thai experts.
