On 3 July 2025, TICA, in cooperation with the Department of Skill Development (DSD) through the Nakhon Si Thammarat Institute for Skill Development 22, organized a community study visit to the Ban Laem Homestay, Thasala District. The aim was to enable representatives from IMT-GT to gain insights into diverse cultural communities, eco-friendly tourism, and strategies for fostering sustainable local employment growth. IMT-GT participants engaged with community members who had gained from skill enhancement initiatives, sharing insights on how training in areas like culinary skills, metalworking, and the Malay language had positively impacted local products and economic well-being.

The 15th WGHRD Meeting marked a significant step forward for Thailand in promoting South-South Cooperation and multilateral collaboration within the IMT-GT framework. This also demonstrated TICA’s strategic emphasis on enhancing human resources by unifying efforts among the public sector, educational institutions, and civil society, thereby establishing a basis for sustainable and inclusive development throughout the subregion.
